ASCIA e-training courses

ASCIA is proud to announce that the first video version of ASCIA Anaphylaxis Refresher Training is available at https://www.allergy.org.au/ascia-videos 

ASCIA e-training courses have moved to new sites on Friday 17 January 2025, to improve access to ASCIA training:

Registrations from old ASCIA e-training sites have not been carried over, so new registrations are required on the new ASCIA e-training sites.

ASCIA training for schools, children's education/care and community

ASCIA has developed accessible, consistent and evidence based anaphylaxis e-training courses for schools, children's education/care (CEC) and community since 2010, which have been updated in 2025. The courses can also be used by students training to work in schools or CEC services.

The following courses are available at https://training.ascia.org.au/:

  • ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training for schools (4 versions - Australasian, QLD, VIC, WA)*
  • ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training for children's education/care (CEC) - Australasian
  • ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training for first aid (community) 
  • ASCIA anaphylaxis refresher e-training for schools, CEC and community**
  • ASCIA anaphylaxis training refresher video for schools, CEC and community**

** ASCIA short refresher courses are designed to "refresh" training after completing the full course, or in between completing full courses,

ASCIA training for health professionals

ASCIA has developed a range of accessible, consistent and evidence based e-training courses for health professionals since 2011. The courses have been developed for medical practitioners (including GPs, paediatricians and physicians), nurse practitioners, nurses, other heatlh professionals (including pharmacists, dietitians and paramedics) and students who are training to become health professionals. ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training for health professionals can also be used as an advanced course for first aid training providers.

The content of ASCIA courses is regularly reviewed at least on an annual basis, and updated as required.  ASCIA anaphylaxis and allergy e-training courses are part of education and training projects that have received funding from the Australian Government, Department of Health, since July 2022.
