Updated ASCIA IVIg Infusion Guidelines

Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) is an important treatment for people with inborn errors of immunity (IEI) requiring antibody replacement therapy.

ASCIA Guidelines for IVIg Replacement Therapy Infusion Rates and Adverse Reactions Guide have been updated to include:

  • Recommended infusion rates presented in tables
  • A detailed guide for preventing, managing and reporting of adverse reactions and events

Research Updates

The Allergy and Immunology Foundation of Australasia (AIFA) has awarded grants to support 40 allergy and immunology research projects since 2014, which are listed on the AIFA website

AIFA is now seeking donations and sponsorship to support research projects in 2025.

Donate here to AIFA and make a difference - all donations go directly to fund AIFA research grants.  

The ASCIA website has a dedicated Allergy and Immunology Research webpage which has links to research groups (CFAR, NACE and CIRCA) and research studies, including the following recent additions:
