ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training for children's education and care services has been approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) until October 2026. ACECQA is an independent statutory authority that assists governments in implementing the National Quality Framework for early childhood education and care throughout Australia. The content of the previous version of the ASCIA course was ACECQA approved until the end of September 2023
ASCIA Food Allergy and Adverse Food Reactions Course for Dietitians
Registration is still open to all dietitians for the ASCIA Food Allergy and Adverse Food Reactions Course, which is being held for the first time in Sydney, on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 November 2023. This course has an interactive in-person program that is focussed on medical nutrition therapy in food allergy and intolerance.

Survey to Improve Allergy Training in Tertiary Healthcare Degrees
People who are involved in the development and delivery of tertiary healthcare degrees in Australia are invited to complete a survey about allergy training. ASCIA is conducting this survey as part of the National Allergy Council Shared Care for Allergy Project.
Jorveza® is an orally disintegrating budesonide tablet for the treatment of eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE). Changes to the PBS criteria have been made to improve access, effective November 2023. Read more here
Shingrix® is a varicella zoster virus recombinant vaccine that can provide protection from herpes zoster (shingles) and post-herpetic neuralgia. Shingrix is now funded for many Australians from November 2023. Read more here
Dymista® Allergy is an antihistamine and corticosteroid combination nasal spray for treatment of allergic rhinitis (hayfever), which is now available over-the-counter (OTC) in Australia. Read more here
