ASCIA 2023 Conference sessions can now be viewed on-demand

Thank you to everyone involved in the ASCIA 2023 Conference, which was a highly successful hybrid event, with a record high number of delegates (724 – including 72% in-person), abstracts (165) and social functions.

Sessions can be viewed on-demand by registered delegates on the conference platform for the next six months, to enable continued professional development. Read more in the ASCIA 2023 Conference Report

ASCIA Food Allergy Course for Dietitians 23-24 November 2023

Registration is now open for the ASCIA Food Allergy Course for Dietitians, which is being held for the first time in Sydney, on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 November 2023. This course has an interactive in-person program that is focussed on medical nutrition therapy in food allergy and intolerance.

Calling all Australian clinicians who treat insect allergies

If you have treated insect allergies in the past three years, the National Allergy Centre of Excellence (NACE) Insect Allergy Stream invites you to complete the NACE online insect allergies survey. Survey results will help document the spectrum and severity of insect allergies and identify the unmet needs of patients living with insect allergy.

The survey closes 30 September 2023 and is available here

Grifols ASPIRE award

The Grifols ASPIRE award provides financial support (€50,000) to young scientists and clinicians who wish to undertake a research project that seeks to improve immunodeficiency awareness, diagnosis and therapy.

Stallergenes Greer (STARG) Foundation science awards

The STAGR Foundation is providing Science Awards in Allergy for young or mid-career scientists to advance precision medicine in the field of allergy or be recognised for outstanding work in the environmental field, to advance the prevention and treatment of allergies. Three awards totalling €150,000 are available and applications close 29 November 2023.

ASCIA 2024 Conference 3-6 September - save the dates

We look forward to seeing ASCIA members, other health professionals. sponsors and exhibitors at the ASCIA 2024 Conference, chaired by Dr Jovanka King. The conference will be held from Tuesday 3 to Friday 6 September 2024 at the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC).
