New and updated ASCIA website information

A comprehensive review of educational information on the ASCIA website has resulted in the following new and updated information.

ASCIA cow’s milk allergy information

Updated ASCIA cow’s milk (dairy) allergy information includes changes that make it easier to read and information about the use of rice based extensively hydrolysed formula (rEHF) as an alternative milk for infants (up to 1 year of age).

SCIg updates

New and updated ASCIA information on subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIg) therapy and primary immunodeficiency (PID) aims to assist patients with PID and their carers, and support health professionals who care for patients with PID.

anaphylaxis resources

Updated translations of ASCIA anaphylaxis information (into 16 languages) have been funded by an educational grant from the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN) and are now available on the ASCIA website www.allergy.org.au/health-professionals/anaphylaxis-resources#ta5

ASCIA meetings 2017

In 2017 ASCIA has hosted several meetings in 2017 which have provided opportunities for collaborations and continuing professional development. These include:

ASCIA Advanced Training Environmental Allergy Meeting and Private Practice Workshop (29-30 July 2017)
